Health freedom gives people the right to access health practitioners of all types, and it gives the practitioners the ability to treat their clients without fear of legal punishment. In many states, for instance, it is currently punishable by law for alternative health practitioners to treat clients without a medical license. The system should be based on the right of the patient, not on someone’s profits or the political climate.
In addition, a patient should have the right to choose what medical treatment, surgery, therapeutic, device, or injection they want without restriction. A recent example of this is the inability of patients to receive hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of COVID19.
Many states are considering mandatory-vaccination laws, mandatory-mask laws, and other health-related restrictions. These restrictions are being considered without the right to objection due to religious or philosophical beliefs, individual choice, consideration of alternative options, or adverse effects. All people have the inalienable right to choose what is best for their health, and what is put into, onto, or around their bodies. Any infringements upon this right are inhumane and unethical.
Children who are being treated for cancer with chemotherapy are forced to finish out the treatment plan even if it’s making them severely ill, and even if they’ve been able to sustain remission via natural means. Sadly, the parents of these children are under threat of being turned into Child Protective Services if they do not comply.
Psychiatry holds and forces certain medications on people without proper process. This invades the rights of those suffering from mental health symptoms—which can be caused by a variety of issues non-related to the need for these pharmaceutical medications.
Pharmaceutical companies have paid out billions of dollars in fines and have been convicted of withholding dangerous and deadly side effects of their products from the public. Patients have a right to be informed of all risks and healthcare professionals have an obligation to understand and present them. Quite simply, pharmaceutical companies should be held to the highest standards of transparency with their products.
Currently, our healthcare and insurance system caters to those who stay ill and inside the system, and it punishes those who seek alternative and preventative treatments outside of it. This is backward at best. It keeps people stuck inside the paradigm of dependency (on the system) and on pharmaceutical products. No one should suffer financially for seeking care outside of what your insurance will reimburse you for.
SIMPLY PUT, HEALTH FREEDOM IS YOUR RIGHT TO CHOOSE WHAT’S BEST FOR YOUR HEALTH. IT IS NOT RELIGIOUS, IT IS NOT POLITICAL, IT IS NOT A RIGHT FOR ONE GROUP OF PEOPLE; IT IS YOUR RIGHT BECAUSE YOU ARE A SOVEREIGN HUMAN BEING.
